park lies within a protected forest ecosystem that mirrors the sacred Kaya
Forest, traditionally used by the Mijikenda community for spiritual rituals
during drought and mourning seasons.
This tranquil forest is home to endangered species such as Angolan colobus monkeys, yellow baboons, Sykes monkeys, and numerous medicinal plants preserved by local conservationists.
