This 2-day safari package takes you to the
Taita Hills Game Sanctuary and Saltlick Lodge in Kenya. The itinerary includes:
Pick-up from hotel or airport at 6:30 am 5-hour drive to the game sanctuary
Short game drive to spot elephants, buffalos, giraffes, and other wildlife Lunch and relaxation at Taita Hills Lodge
Second game drive to Saltlick Lodge for dinner and overnight stay On the second day:
Early morning game drive to search for big cats Breakfast and relaxation at the lodge
Lunch in Voi town on the way back to Mombasa, Diani Beach, or Malindi Return to beach hotel before sunset.
Day
1 Diani/Mombasa/Malindi to Taita Hills Saltlick
You will be picked up from your hotel or the airport at 6:30am and drive along the Mombasa–Nairobi highway towards Voi, with a short refreshment break around 8:30am. After passing through Voi and Wundanyi, you will arrive at Taita Hills Game Sanctuary around 11:00am for a short game drive, with good chances of seeing elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, gazelles, and possibly big cats.
At 2:00pm, you will check in at Taita Hills Lodge for lunch and relaxation. Later, you will enjoy another game drive as you head to Salt Lick Lodge, your overnight stay, where you can also visit the underground wildlife observatory before dinner.
Day
2: Taita Hills Saltlick To Mombasa/Diani Beach /Malindi
Arise early to have a cup of coffee then
head out for an early morning game drive. We will be searching for early action
of the Cats as they prefer to hunt early around this time. We shall also enjoy
the magnificent rays of a Kenyan sun rise. Thereafter we will return to the
lodge by 0830hrs for a full and proper breakfast. Have a midmorning relaxation until 10:00am
when you head out from this sanctuary. Your lunch today will be in Voi town
which is on your way as you head back to Mombasa/Diani Beach/Malindi, arriving
back to your Beach hotel before sunset.
